Let’s build a more human future of work
The future of work should be designed with people, not simply around technology.
Adonea.ai is exploring a different way to connect people with opportunity — one grounded in actual work, demonstrated capability, meaningful evidence, transparency, and human decision-making.
Our AI for Humanity Pledge defines the principles we intend to build by — and the kind of future we want to help create with others.
Our AI for Humanity Pledge
AI has the potential to expand human capability, improve access to opportunity, and help us understand complex information in ways that were previously impossible.
But technology should serve people — not quietly make decisions about them.
At Adonea.ai, we are committed to building AI that supports human agency, preserves meaningful human judgment, and makes consequential systems more understandable rather than less.
AI should help people demonstrate what they can do.
It should not reduce them to a score.
AI should help reveal relevant evidence.
It should not quietly rank people against one another.
AI should help people understand why something may be relevant to them.
It should not make consequential decisions they cannot see, question, or understand.
AI should expand access to opportunity.
It should never become another barrier between people and work.
We believe the system itself needs to change
Much of today’s labor market still depends on proxies.
Résumés. Degrees. Job titles. Years of experience. Career chronology. Pedigree. Interviews. Previous access to opportunity.
These signals can tell us something about a person, but they cannot tell us everything they are capable of doing.
And when previous opportunity becomes the evidence required to obtain future opportunity, capable people can remain invisible.
Adonea.ai starts somewhere different.
We start with the work.
What actually needs to be done? What outcomes matter? What capabilities are required? What can be learned? And what evidence would meaningfully demonstrate that someone could do the work?
This cannot be designed by one company
A more human labor market cannot simply be invented by a technology company and handed to everyone else.
Workers need to help shape it. Employers need to tell us what happens when theory meets real work.
Researchers need to challenge assumptions and evaluate outcomes. Communities need meaningful influence over systems that affect them.
Workforce organizations bring knowledge that technology companies often do not have.
And technologists need to understand when AI should assist — and when it should stay out of the decision.
That is why collaboration is part of our pledge.
What we want to explore together
We are interested in working with people and organizations exploring questions such as:
-
How should capability be demonstrated when a résumé is not enough?
-
What evidence should employers actually trust?
-
How can realistic work help someone demonstrate what they can do?
-
How should AI explain relevance without ranking people?
-
How do we design assessment for people with different backgrounds, careers, abilities, and ways of thinking?
-
How can employers make better decisions without replacing one set of proxies with another?
-
What should workers be able to see, understand, question, or control when AI is involved?
These are not questions we believe Adonea.ai should answer alone.
Who we would like to hear from
We welcome conversations with worker and community organizations, employers, workforce-development organizations, researchers and universities, people working on age inclusion and career returners, neurodiversity and disability organizations, technologists, AI researchers, social-impact organizations, mission-aligned funders, and others exploring the future of work.
You do not need to arrive with a formal partnership proposal.
Sometimes collaboration begins with a conversation, a shared question, a piece of research, an introduction, or simply discovering that we are trying to solve different parts of the same problem.
Let’s explore what we could build together
We are not looking for people who simply agree with us.
We want to meet people willing to question what no longer works, test new ideas, challenge our assumptions, and help us understand what a genuinely human-centered labor market could become.
If that sounds like work you care about too, we would love to hear from you.
