AI ENGINEER
We are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to turn Idonea’s ontology, evidence-assurance model, and governance framework into a secure, testable MVP.
You will work closely with the Founder and CEO to shape the technical architecture, build the core services, and ensure AI supports—rather than replaces—accountable human judgment.

What You’ll Do
01. DESIGN THE TECHNICAL FOUNDATION
Turn Idonea’s product model, ontology, and governance requirements into a practical, secure architecture for the MVP.
02. BUILD THE CORE PRODUCT
Develop the backend services, APIs, data systems, and AI-supported workflows needed for the first working product.
03. CONNECT AI TO STRUCTURED KNOWLEDGE
Ground language models in Idonea’s ontology, evidence states, permissions, and rules so outputs remain reliable and traceable.
04. BUILD SAFEGUARDS INTO THE SYSTEM
Ensure AI supports human judgment without secretly ranking candidates, making final decisions, or exposing private information.
05. TEST AND DOCUMENT THE PRODUCT
Create evaluations for accuracy, privacy, bias, and boundary failures—and document technical decisions clearly.
06. PREPARE FOR THE MVP PILOT
Help define the smallest credible pilot, select appropriate technologies, and support future engineering recruitment as Idonea grows.
Who You are
01. A HANDS-ON AI ENGINEER
You have practical experience building backend systems and applications using language models, APIs, data systems, and modern cloud technologies.
02. A THOUGHTFUL SYSTEM DESIGNER
You can turn a complex product model into a focused technical architecture without losing its purpose, safeguards, or human impact.
03. COMFORTABLE WITH STRUCTURED KNOWLEDGE
You understand—or are ready to learn—ontologies, knowledge graphs, grounded AI, agent workflows, and evidence-based reasoning.
04. CLEAR AND COLLABORATIVE
You question assumptions, explain technical decisions in plain language, document your work, and collaborate openly across disciplines.
05. READY TO BUILD AT AN EARLY STAGE
You are comfortable working with uncertainty, taking ownership, and building a credible MVP while protecting privacy, accessibility, and human agency.
